Race Report – 7. Race Le Mans, France

The penultimate race weekend of the 2025 FIA European Truck Racing Championship took place at the legendary Le Mans circuit, attracting thousands of enthusiastic fans to the grandstands.

As there was no break between the previous round and the event at Le Mans, all teams arrived in good time before the paddock officially opened on Thursday morning to allow everyone to set up and prepare for what promised to be a demanding and exciting weekend of racing. 

Friday offered no track time, but the day was used for administrative checks and detailed technical inspections.

Saturday was going to be a long day, but the team was looking forward to the challenge as well as to welcoming valued guests from BPW France and Teng Tools, who joined the fans in cheering from completely packed grandstands.

Qualifying on Saturday was held in tricky weather conditions, beginning on a wet track but drying towards the end. Antonio delivered a strong performance and secured 5th position on the starting grid.

In the opening race, Antonio made a strong start, but a clutch cylinder failure on lap three left him unable to shift properly. Despite this major setback, he showed impressive determination and still managed to bring the truck home in 6th place.

The second race of the day began with Antonio starting from 3. position. After a solid opening phase, contact with Rodriguez pushed him back to eighth place. Fighting hard until the chequered flag, Antonio regained two positions to secure another 6^th place finish. Despite the difficulties, the team collected a respectable number of points on Saturday.

Sunday began with much better weather conditions for qualifying. However, Antonio and Steffi both had their lap times cancelled after hitting a penalty marker during the final Super Pole shootout.

The third race of the weekend was relatively uneventful, but Antonio drove consistently to take the chequered flag in 5th position without any damage to the truck.

The fourth and final race of the weekend proved to be one of the most exciting of the event, with plenty of wheel-to-wheel action, several overtaking manoeuvres and some minor contact. Antonio battled fiercely throughout the race, frequently swapping positions, and narrowly missed out on a podium finish by just a fraction of a second, crossing the line in 4th place.

Overall, the team collected valuable championship points across all four races at Le Mans. With the fight among the top six drivers in the standings closer than ever, the pressure on the drivers continues to grow.

The final round of the 2025 FIA European Truck Racing Championship will take place in two weeks’ time at Antonio’s home circuit in Jarama, near Madrid. The team is already looking forward to an exciting season finale, which promises to deliver another thrilling weekend of racing.

Rennbericht – 7. Rennen Le Mans, Frankreich

Das vorletzte Rennwochenende der FIA European Truck Racing Championship 2025 fand auf der legendären Strecke von Le Mans statt und lockte tausende begeisterte Fans auf die Tribünen. Ohne Pause zwischen den Veranstaltungen in Zolder und Le Mans reisten die Teams frühzeitig an, um sich auf ein anspruchsvolles und actiongeladenes Wochenende vorzubereiten.

Der Freitag war den technischen Abnahmen und administrativen Formalitäten gewidmet, Streckenzeit stand für unsere Serie keine an.

Der Samstag versprach ein langer Tag zu werden, doch das Team freute sich sowohl auf die Herausforderung als auch darauf, geschätzte Gäste von BPW France und Teng Tools willkommen zu heißen, die gemeinsam mit den Fans in den voll besetzten Tribünen mitfieberten.

Das Qualifying begann auf nasser Strecke, die zum Ende hin jedoch abtrocknete. Antonio fuhr eine starke Runde im finalen Qualifying und sicherte sich den 5. Startplatz.

Im ersten Rennen gelang Antonio ein guter Start, doch ein defekter Kupplungszylinder in der dritten Runde erschwerte das Schalten. Mit großem Kampfgeist brachte er den Truck trotzdem auf Platz 6. ins Ziel.

Im zweiten Rennen startete Antonio von Position 3, doch nach einer Kollision mit Rodriguez fiel er auf Rang 8. zurück. Mit viel Einsatz kämpfte er sich wieder nach vorne und belegte am Ende Platz 6, ein weiterer wertvoller Punkterfolg.

Am Sonntag verbesserten sich die Wetterbedingungen deutlich. Im Qualifying wurden sowohl Antonio als auch Steffi die beste Rundenzeit gestrichen, nachdem sie in der Super-Pole einen Strafmarker touchiert hatten – damit war zusätzliche Arbeit in den Rennen vorprogrammiert.

Im dritten Rennen zeigte Antonio eine saubere und konstante Fahrt und erreichte Platz 5, ohne Schäden am Truck zu riskieren.

Das vierte Rennen war eines der Highlights des Wochenendes: packende Rad-an-Rad-Duelle, zahlreiche Überholmanöver und ein spannendes Finale. Antonio kämpfte hart, wechselte mehrfach die Positionen und überquerte die Ziellinie schließlich auf Platz 4. 

Das Team verlässt Le Mans mit einer soliden Punktausbeute und hält den Kampf in den Top 6 der Meisterschaft weiter offen.

Nun richtet sich der Blick auf das Saisonfinale in Jarama, Antonios Heimstrecke bei Madrid, in zwei Wochen. Mit einem extrem engen Meisterschaftskampf verspricht die letzte Runde ein weiteres spektakuläres Rennwochenende.
