T Sport Bernau arrived at Circuito de Madrid Jarama for the final round of the 2026 Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship, determined to finish an incredibly competitive season on a high.

With Jarama marking Antonio Albacete’s home race, the atmosphere was special from the beginning. Thousands of Spanish fans came to support Antonio, while T Sport Bernau also welcomed more than 200 partner guests throughout the weekend.

After fighting for the top positions throughout 2026, the team entered the season finale still in contention for a place in the top three of the European Championship.

STRONG START TO THE FINAL WEEKEND

Saturday began with qualifying, where Antonio once again demonstrated strong pace. The session was good, although not quite perfect, with P5 securing a solid starting position for the opening race.

In Race 1, Antonio fought hard throughout. With overtaking always challenging around the tight and technical Jarama circuit, he pushed from start to finish and brought the T Sport Bernau truck home in P5.

Race 2 provided the highlight of Saturday.

Antonio made a strong start, gained positions and worked his way into the podium places. Another determined performance saw him cross the line in P3, securing the first podium of the weekend in front of his home crowd.

It was a fantastic way to finish Saturday and gave the team plenty of momentum heading into the final day of the championship.

EVERYTHING TO FIGHT FOR ON SUNDAY

The team and Antonio were on top form on Sunday morning and determined to finish the season as strongly as possible.

The goal remained clear: to end the year on the championship podium.

It was a position that had looked well within reach throughout 2026. With a completely new race truck built over the winter, T Sport Bernau demonstrated consistently competitive lap times, strong qualifying performances and regular podium finishes throughout the season.

Several racing incidents and circumstances along the way cost the team valuable championship points, but the underlying performance and potential of the package remained clear.

Going into the final day at Jarama, there was still everything to fight for.

P3 IN THE FINAL QUALIFYING OF 2026

Sunday morning started strongly, with Antonio immediately showing competitive pace around his home circuit.

Pushing hard in the final qualifying session of the season, Antonio secured an impressive P3 on the grid, lining up behind ten-time European champion Norbert Kiss and Jochen Hahn.

It was another demonstration of just how competitive T Sport Bernau has become and put Antonio in an excellent position for Race 3.

SECOND PODIUM OF THE WEEKEND

Starting from P3, Antonio pushed hard throughout Race 3 and delivered another fantastic performance.

Showing strong and consistent pace, he brought the T Sport Bernau truck home in P3, securing his second podium of the Jarama weekend.

It was another important result and a fitting demonstration of the performance shown by Antonio, the new truck and the entire T Sport Bernau team throughout 2026.

Following Race 3, the championship positions were decided, with T Sport Bernau securing P4 overall in the 2026 Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship.

A SEASON THAT GOES FAR BEYOND THE CHAMPIONSHIP TABLE

While the team had fought hard for a championship top-three finish, P4 does not tell the full story of T Sport Bernau’s 2026 season.

With just three full-time employees and a completely new race truck, the small independent team consistently competed at the front and remained in contention for a European Championship podium until the final day.

With the championship position decided, the pressure was off for Race 4. It was time to enjoy one final race and celebrate the end of the season with the thousands of Spanish fans who came to Jarama to support Antonio.

ONE FINAL RACE OF 2026

Starting from P6 on the reverse grid, Antonio headed into Race 4 for one final outing in front of his home crowd. With the championship position already decided, the focus was simply on enjoying the final race of the season and bringing a strong 2026 campaign to a close.

Antonio crossed the line in P6, completing T Sport Bernau’s 2026 Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship season.

The Jarama weekend was also a fantastic end to the season off track, with more than 200 guests from VARTA Automotive, BPW Trapaco, PE Automotive and Teng Tools joining us throughout the weekend.

Tonight, we will celebrate the end of the 2026 season at the official FIA prize-giving ceremony.

A huge thank you to all our partners, supporters, team members and fans for being part of our journey this year. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together and already looking forward to 2027.

STARKER START INS FINALE
